Carpetride Video Shoot..."L.A. Scenes"
Wow!..its been awhile since I posted anything in here. Hope
youre all doing well. (all 2 of you who actually read this
thing haha! j/k) anyhow, to catch up, Ive moved back to LA as
planned and have been working my ass off as usual ;)&ldots;I really
do love it here. I mean I miss the family and all back in NY of
course but its good to be back. Ive been working a lot in my
studio in the downtown rehearsal building here in Los Angeles. Its
like working in paradise compared to the studio I had in Jamaica
Queens NYC back in the day, plus I got my lil office set up in here
and have been working on the new Manic Noize
Compilations, lots of good bands have been submitting songs for it!
Some good stuff out there ;)
Anyways, over the next few weeks I will also be filming the L.A.
scenes" for the re-edited Carpetride video from
Kreep (my former band) which for those of you who don't know is based
on my near death experience I had in Hollywood, CA back in March of
2001 "KREEP
Filming New Footage For "Carpetride" Video"&ldots;Although
I left the band over a year ago ..the video and songs entire
meaning are extremely personal to me and I will keep filming these
scenes until I finish. For the record Brett (Kreep) has always been
supportive of that. . .Ian Brookfield will be editing all this
footage I have amassed over the last year in New York and now in LA.
Its taken like forever, because I wanted to wait until I got back
here to L.A. to film footage in the areas where it actually
occurred. When we finish later this month, I will be entering
the re-edited Carpetride video in the ION Film festival
for the Music video category which will be held in early
December in Los Angeles. www.ionfilmfestival.com
So today (Labor Day) I started filming the "L.A. scenes"
for Carpetride in Hollywood, CA. I filmed my first
apartment on Cahuenga Blvd. over by the 101 fwy. I also went to the
infamous spot it happened at! right there on Cherokee
right in the heart of Hollywood. It was very surreal for me. This was
the first time I actually came back here to the spot and
checked it out by myself. . .I spent some time there and sat in the
same place where I had my out of body experience etc.
right where I saw myself lying in the street near death!!! Would you
believe there was a cross embedded in the road where it happened! .
.how crazy is that?! And then on the curb where I sat and had
conversations with two people whom I believe were angels. .
.(thats right angels motherfuckers!) and while sitting there
filming today I looked over my shoulder in the spot they were
standing and saw painted on the sidewalk the words Hollywood
Undead , now I dont know what that is in reference to. .
maybe name of a band or club,etc... but it was weird you know the
coincidence of it being painted right there and all...I filmed during
daylight because 2 yrs ago we tried to film there at night and they
wouldnt let us, we had to film across the street. These people
could care less the night it happened. Instead of calling me an
ambulance they shoved me in a taxi to get lost while I had blood
pouring out my ears and head like a motherfucker. I could have and
should have sued but...well you know. . .anyways, Karma is a bitch! I
got some great footage today and to be honest it felt kinda weird
revisiting "the spot" where I was almost murdered!!!
